Week 5 QR Codes

QR codes are a great way to share information with students who are using smartphones, tablets or iPads.

They have become more sophistcated and you can actually track how many hits you have had. QR codes can  be dynamic or static. The static QR codes only have one piece of information for their lifetime - a url, image, or some text. A dynamic QR code can be created whereby you can visit the website where you created it and change the url or information it will direct the student to. This makes it worthwhile laminating your QR codes in the classroom as they can be used over and over again.

Here is a great QR generator to get your students to use as it requires no sign up and hasd no hidden ads nor redirects: https://qrgenerator.org/

There are so many educational uses of QR codes!

Use the QR code to get to this information, or click on the image or use this url: https://www.qrcode-tiger.com/how-to-use-qr-codes-for-education-and-books

I used FlowCodes to generate the QR code here:   https://www.flowcode.com/codes I had to provide an email address to get the QR download, but it was free. If you have your own preferred QR generator, mention it in the comments.

Enjoy using them!
